We created Youth Fitness Classes when Motiv8 Fitness opened in 2021 to provide new opportunities for 11-16 year olds in Waterford. They have proved popular, and we continue to expand. However, we see some ways that we can provide an even better experience for some youths and kids in Waterford.

Small Group Personal Training for Youths

We’re not saying youth fitness classes don’t work – but we understand that some people need a little more specific help.

In our Small Group Youth PT programme, we’ll provide custom programmes to help your child.

  • Here’s a quick summary of what to expect
  • Fitness assessment and goal planning
  • Custom workouts that align to your child’s current developmental stage
  • ”Homework” or supplemental home exercises that will support your child’s weekly health and fitness routine.

This format is best suited to four types of participants:

  1. Athletes with a defined competition date. For example, we can help swimming athletes prepare for national events. We can help Irish Dancers peak for All-Ireland’s or prepare for the World Championship.
  2. All other team sport athletes. Unknown training and match schedules can impact a fitness plan. We design workouts that take this into account. Custom training programmes ensure your child will progress without overdoing it.
  3. Overcoming injuries or improving quality of movement. We can help your child feel strong and confident. Our coaches have plenty of experience helping athletes return to sport safely. Lauren and Kevin also have experience training kids with Dyspraxia, Scoliosis etc.
  4. A comfortable environment. We understand that big groups do not work for everyone. This programme is limited to five people at most at any given time.

Time/Days: Tuesdays and/or Thursdays at 4:45pm. Each session lasts one hour.

4 session programme: €80

8 session programme: €160
